STADA supports dolphin aid e.V.
Since 2007, STADA GmbH and its parent company, STADA Arzneimittel AG, have been supporting the charitable
organization dophin aid e.V. in Düsseldorf with a significant contribution. STADA is thus a principal
sponsor of dolphin aid.
dolphin aid promotes alternative therapy possibilities for sick and handicapped children and allows these children to undergo a “dolphin therapy”. The children experience close contact to the dolphins in a near-natural environment and as a result improvement can be seen in their own individual physical or psychological problems.
“We made the conscious decision to support a non-pharmaceutical method of therapy. In this way we would
like to publicly document our comprehensive, not only based on pharmaceuticals, understanding of health
care,” said a spokesman of STADA Arzneimittel AG of the cooperation with dolphin aid.
STADA GmbH intends to actively use the support that has now begun with dolphin aid in its communication with customers and consumers. “We achieve a classic win-win situation with this cooperation”, says the STADA spokesman. “dolphin aid will become better known and thereby will hopefully also find further supporters from among our customers and consumers; STADA can thus communicatively transport its own comprehensive understanding of health care.”
STADA GmbH, a wholly-owned subsidiary of STADA Arzneimittel AG, is responsible for branded products in self-medication and in the skin-care area in Germany. STADA GmbH’s customers include approx. 20,000 pharmacists and all German pharmaceutical wholesalers; In 2007, German consumers decided to buy a STADA GmbH product in about 27 million cases, for example from the sun protection line Ladival®.
Support for dolphin aid has been contractually fixed by STADA for 2007 initially; the possibility of a continuation has not been excluded.
